1. What this covers

These terms cover the public website and the free tools on it — the cost calculator, the CN code lookup, the exemption checker, the country and sector pages, and everything else reachable without an account. The platform you sign in to is a separate paid service with its own terms, which you accept when you start a trial or subscribe. The DeCarbonPro platform is sold to businesses. By subscribing you confirm you are buying for a business, not as a consumer.

2. The tools give estimates, not filings

Every figure the free tools produce is an estimate. They price a good from published default values and the certificate price the Commission has published, using the method in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2547. An estimate is not a CBAM declaration, not a verified emissions figure, and not a substitute for the emissions data your supplier is required to give you.

3. Not legal or compliance advice

Nothing on this site is legal, tax or compliance advice, and using it creates no advisory relationship. CBAM obligations depend on facts we do not hold — your goods, your contracts, your customs entries. Take advice on your own position before you act on anything here.

4. Acceptable use

When using the site you agree not to:

• scrape, copy or reproduce the tools, data or content without our permission;
• use automated tools to extract data from the site;
• misrepresent your identity or give false information in a form;
• use the site for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to get around security measures or access controls.

5. Intellectual property

The site, its text, its design and the tools are ours or our licensors'. The regulations we quote are public documents of the European Union and are cited as such. A result you generate with a free tool is yours to use in your own business.

6. Availability and accuracy

We work to keep the tools available and the figures current, and we name the acts our figures come from. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, or that a published default value or certificate price has not changed since we last read it. We may change or withdraw a free tool at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the free tools or reliance on their figures — including any CBAM charge, penalty or commercial loss. We are not liable for penalties or fines imposed on you by a customs, tax or other public authority. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

8. Links to other sites

We link to the Official Journal, the Commission's CBAM pages and other external sources. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Wyoming have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the date of the most recent version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
