The Combined Nomenclature (CN) is the EU's 8-digit product classification system used in customs declarations. Every product imported into the EU has a CN code. CBAM applies to specific CN codes listed in Annex I of Reg (EU) 2023/956.
If your product's CN code is not in this database, it is not covered by CBAM. If it is listed, your EU buyer must declare its embedded emissions and may need to purchase CBAM certificates.
Your CN code appears on EU customs declarations (SAD form), commercial invoices for EU-bound shipments, and EU importer purchase orders. It is typically 8 digits.
You can also search by product name above โ type "steel", "cement", "ammonia", "aluminium" or "hydrogen" to browse all covered products in that category.
