The questions producers ask

Am I obliged to do any of this?
No. The obligation sits on the EU declarant, not on you. What sits on you is the consequence: without your verified figure your goods are priced on the default value, and your buyer pays the difference.

How much worse is the default?
The published default values carry a mark-up, applied on a schedule. It is not a penalty, but it is deliberately not generous — that is the point of it.

Who has to check my figure?
An accredited verifier. The duty to have the report verified sits with the operator, not with the buyer or the buyer’s verifier.

What does my buyer actually receive?
The summary of the operator's emissions report. The full report goes to the verifier.
